A. Really having a Rom file in ZIP file and Non-Zip is really no difference besides ZIP files sometimes compresses the file itself. But to answer your question is to download the ROM and ZIP it yourself by right clicking on the ROM and click compress to ... and put it on your DS yourself... That is what I did for my little brother DS

How to Trigger "Download" from website, whatever file format?
Q. If you place an anchor () to a ZIP file, it will trigger the download dialog box on ALL browsers; If it is a PDF, it will trigger the Reader; If it is a video, it will start your player, etc... Do you know what to do to force a download dialog box whatever the file extention (and on ALL browsers) ? Thanks both of you! Just remembered how I did it four years ago (the header()).
Asked by just "JR" - Sat Jan 9 11:36:48 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. This needs to be done on the server side, not on the client (HTML) side. Before your server starts sending the HTML data to the client, it sends HTTP headers. In these headers, you can tell the client (the browser) how to process the data. One of these HTTP headers is Content-Disposition. If you send, for example, the following header: Content-disposition: attachment; filename=somedoc.pdf then a download dialog will show up every time. Read the links below to learn more about headers and specifically your problem

.Zip file won't open... any ideas?
Q. There's a file I want to unzip, but it doesn't. I tried jZip, and I get "jzip does not support the file format of the file you are trying to open." etc. I also tried 7-zip, but I get a similar message saying that the file can't be opened as an archive. I want to avoid re-downloading this file, because it's absolutely ginormous. It took five days to download.

A. mpg files i believe are compressed to the maximum, i don't think zipping it in an archive can make it any smaller. however if this is for transporting it from one place to another, you can try downloaing winrar from and try maximum compression in RAR, and if needed then also split up the file into smaller chunks. hope it helps

How do I get this file to a format that is readable?
Q. One of my co-workers is stuck with this email that has zip-files and we have no idea how to read it. Here is exactly what the email he received said. Can someone please help us? Please find attached the results of your Corporation Search. The email attached is in a ZIP-compressed format, which you can extract natively with Windows 2000 or Windows XP, or by using a third party tool such as WinZip or PKUnzip. Included in the results file should be a corplayout.txt file which explains the contents and layouts of the other four files. Please note that the other files are in tab-delimited text format, suitable for importing into a spreadsheet or database, and as such, are not really conducive to viewing with a word processor or text… [cont.]

A. If you are having a problem with the .zip file, you can simply Right Click it and click on EXTRACT. This will put the files that are INSIDE the .zip file wherever you told it to extract.

Do the programmes WinRAR and 7-zip extract compressed files in .rar format?
Q. I have downloaded some files of the internet that are compressed, and in .RAR format. I want to extract the files, but I don't have the software. Does the software WinRAR or 7-zip do this? A. 7-Zip only opens the files which is in it whilst WinRAR connects them as well with other files if there is any e.g. ~ films which is spilt into 7 parts .. you will need WinRAR to join them together (it will still open up the file if you dont need to connect it to anything)

How to open file.zip.002 type file?
Q. i am having a file which is in the format of .zip.002 and i cant extract it with winrar and 7zip.when i try to open the file it shows an error.so what should i do?
Asked by vyshnav - Wed Dec 30 08:30:56 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. *.zip.002 means the zipped file is made of several zips - for example 10 but could be more, generally used to separate big files into several smaller for uploads/downloads. Copy all the NAME.zip.NUMBER files into one folder and NAME.zip (the control file) too. Unzip the NAME.zip - that automatically uses every other NAME.zip.NUMBER and result is the big file. You need all files (every one of them) It won't work otherwise.
