How do I compress a file in the .zip format?
Q. My friend has this power point presentation that needs to be attached to an email to somebody. But this file is too big to be emailed so she was told to compress it as a .zip file then email it afterward. Anybody know how this works? Thanks in advance!

A. Download winrar. Install it (if you havent). Right click files, compress and email and your set :D If your using hotmail, just "add to archive" and select directory.

A. Really having a Rom file in ZIP file and Non-Zip is really no difference besides ZIP files sometimes compresses the file itself. But to answer your question is to download the ROM and ZIP it yourself by right clicking on the ROM and click compress to ... and put it on your DS yourself... A. You need a file extractor. Try using 7-zip. Make sure you extract it to one of your monitored folders.

A. Unzip it to a folder, go to that folder and click on the installation file... most likely INSTALL or SETUP. Who did you get this game from? Did you make sure the source is reliable? Are you SURE you're not installing a virus? Is the copy legal? Will you have to watch over your shoulder to make sure the feds aren't going to bust you for software piracy?

YOU maybe sure, but Winrar says otherwise... sorry, if Winrar says it's damaged... it's unlikely you'll be able to extract it wiht Winrar... you can try this program to try to repair it, butr I'm not sure how well it works if it was on an old harddrive, the hd is probably dying, collect your important data now if it was on a CD, then the cd is probably scratched if it's on a floppy... stick the floppy int he freezer, and try it agian tomorrow and hope for the best. if you downlaoded it froma website... the file was probably removed and you just downlaoded a placeholder, or, the archive was always damaged good luck
