Downloading problems...?
Q. I am trying to download Microsoft Expression Studio 2 and I am having difficulties. Basically, whenever I try to install it, it runs and shows complete progress for a good hour and then when it should be complete shows an error saying that "there has been an error" (very general, I know). I don't know what to do, I need this software but can't install it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

A. if you are you downloading from a disc(cd/dvd)if so ensure disc is clean and grease free. if you are downloading from internet~try download "dap" from "cnet" go to cnet site and put dap in search. download and install "dap" it is a download accelerator.it will speed up download and should enable you to install studio 2. do hope this helps.

Should I keep these applications on my computer?
Q. Even though, I don't use them now. HDD Space is not a problem at the moment. Or should I uninstall them? Microsoft Expression: -Blend 2 -Design 2 -Encoder 2 -Media 2 SP2 -Studio 2 -Web 2 They take up about 280MB each. Also they didn't cost me anything. PS. I obtained them legally through MSDN Alliance.

A. If they aren't causing any problems and you have no need for disk space, you might want to use them in the future, so why not keep them? If they're running in the background taking up system resources though, that's a different matter.

A. It means there's a bug in Symantec Antivirus or Norton Internet Security. Either that, or it is not co-operating with Firefox. If you have other anti-viruses, just leave one - they often conflict with each other. Run Symantec Live-Update, reboot and if it doesn't help, disable all add-ons in Firefox, then bring them on one-by-one to see which one causes the problem. Let me know if it helped - I'm very curious about what's causing the trouble.

A. Well, it's an ITunes error. There's really nothing you can do about that. It's up to them to fix it. This article in 2006 suggested installing ITunes 6, until ITunes 7 is ready.

A. This sounds like some sort of compilation error, but it would be on the machine where the code was compiled (ie:at the Yahoo end) so I can't understand why you are getting the error. I would suggest that you do a general clean up by deleting temporary files, cleaning internet history, run adware and spyware scans etc and because you need visual basic runtime files to run this sort of application search Microsoft site for a service pack for visual basic 6.(I think the file would be called vbrun60sp6.exe or similar) this will ensure that you have the latest runtime files for applications that use visual basic. hope this helps

I constantly get this error message on my computer?
Q. It says: Debug assertion failed! Program: C/Program files/ Internet Explorer/IEXPLORER.EXE File: C/Program Files (x86)/ Microsoft visual studio 90/VC/atlmfc/include/atba se.h Line: 5486 Expression: m_hKey !=0 For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the visual c++ documentation on asserts (Press retry to debug the application) Then at the bottom it gives the the option of abort, retry, and ignore. Abort freezes my computer, retry does nothing, and Ignore makes it go away until i click on a link or change websites, then it comes back. At the top of the message it says " Microsoft Visual C++ Debug library" Can anyone explain any of this to me?
